What are automatic tuning pegs and what are they for?
Wittner automatic tuning pegs are designed to put an end to the problems associated with traditional wooden tuning pegs, such as continuous string breakage and constant detuning of the instrument.
But how do they work?
They are made of high quality composite and have a gear inside that rotates only the central wall of the peg, while the rest of the piece remains stationary, thus creating the comfort of tuning like instruments such as the guitar. So much so that by using these precision tuning pegs, it is possible to dispense with the tensioners on the tailpiece.
